Because I was scared. The bad thoughts that were invading me were setting up unwanted scenarios, that
if the tsunami came through again and it was night and we were sweet asleep, that if we were high up in
the mountains it wouldn't get to us. Don't laugh, I wasn't laughing at all then. Okay dear, now I find it
funny too. It's all good when it ends well. So, to continue my story about my first trip to Thailand.
Eventually, it happened, we found a hotel high up in the mountains and the second major task after buying
a plane ticket was in order. After gathering our courage for all that was to come, my friend and I decided
that since we were landing in Bangkok, it might be a good idea to plan a few days in the "City of Angels"
first and then go to Phuket. So we did, the first nights were in Bangkok, and we spent the rest of the week
in Phuket, coming home again via a final night in Bangkok.
